Hi Tweeters,
Finally winter let go and cabin fever set in, so it was definitely time to
do the bird survey again. A good sized flock of Horned Grebes put in an
appearance. The first time for that number since last November; it feels
like a sure sign of a Spring in the offing. Encouraged by the bird activity,
I explored a bit and found a Horned Lark(HOLA). The field guides I have all
indicate that the HOLA should winter in this area, but this is the first one
I have found in the winter.
A terrific day to be out.
