Sightings for Saturday, January 17

The XANTUS' HUMMNIGBIRD continues to be seen at 221 2nd Street in Gibsons.
The YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER at 1773 El Verano on Gabriola Island was very
cooperative today, staying in view for up to an hour at a time. The
YELLOW-BILLED LOON was at the foot of Sullivan St in Crescent Beach

A LONG-BILLED CURLEW, a WHIMBREL, a SHORT-EARED OWL and 2 EURASIAN WIDGEONS
were at Blackie Spit. A NORTHERN GOSHAWK was in the trees near the outflow
pond at Iona.

Four AMERICAN AVOCETS are still at the mouth of the Serpentine River. An
adult HARRIS' SPARROW, first seen on the White Rock CBC, was relocated
today in brush at 13941 40th Ave in Surrey.

A BRAMBLING was seen near Port Alberni. Call the Victoria RBA at
250-592-3381 for details.

The GREAT KNOT sighting has been confirmed but the bird has not been
relocated since it was first seen on January 12.

Sightings for Friday, January 16

The COMMON EIDER was seen at the foot off Cardero Street off Sunset Beach
in Vancouver. The immature HARRIS' SPARROW was at the stone bridge in
Stanley Park and a REDHEAD was with CANVASBACKS on Lost Lagoon.

Sightings for Thursday, January 15

The YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER was seen at 1773 El Verano on Gabriola Island
for the fourth consecutive day.

A YELLOW-BILLED LOON and ROCK SANDPIPER were at the foot of Sullivan in
Crescent Beach and two female REDHEADS were at Iona. The COMMON EIDER was
in a large flock of scoters in English Bay.
