Hi Tweets

A quick update. Didn't try for Slaty-backed today but saw Little Gull
(with Greg Toffic) at American Lake. On the far side but discernable by
binoculars and 'great' by scope. Greater White-fronted Geese were at the
north end of Coulon Park (in close!). Most appear to be adults but at least
two are juveniles/females? The white at base of bill is ragged or less
defined. Didn't stop to think about how many of each. Sorry. (Greg Toffic
said he was going to stop by there after leaving American Lake and checking
Gog-le-hi-te --- maybe he knows.) The Blue Jay was not located.
Looked and had a bite to eat and looked again. No Blue Jay. 8+ Townsend's
Warblers, a small flock of Bushtits and a Varied Thrush in the top of a
tree camouflaging itself with a couple of Robins mellowed the lack of the
Blue Jay for our Grand Coulee visiting Tweeters.

Lastly, Thank You to those that responded with 'current status' for some of
these birds. It made a significant difference to what was seen by our
visitors. That's at least part of what Tweeters is all about.

And as Kelly says, "Visit Luhrs Beach." The hunters had cut back on the
number of birds that could be seen because of their boats coming and going.
No chance of seeing the Eurasian Wigeon because the flock of wigeons never
reached "critical mass"!! Maybe, a dozen American Wigeon was all -- none
cream cheeked.
