With regard to Scott's 11-gull day. I can't remember if I've ever seen more
than ten but can imagine a big gull day say about October 1 that might go
higher:

Everett ponds: Bonaparte's(1), Franklin's (2), maybe Black-headed and/or
Little (3, if we got one), Mew (4), Glaucous-winged (5)
Green Lake, Seattle: add Ring-billed(6), Thayer's (7), Herring (8), maybe
California (9)
West Point, Seattle: Heermann's (10), maybe Western (11), back up for
California, etc.
then run out to Ocean Shores for: Black-legged Kittiwake (12), Western for sure;
with some extra luck, a Sabine's (13) driven in by a storm....
