So, Kelly McAllister, you "would appreciate hearing people's
sightings of Redheads in western Washington (western B.C.?,
western Oregon?)" eh?

Well, back in the winter of 1993-94 (or thereabouts), I
found one fine-looking Redhead drake paddling around in the
Ring Dike pond at the Nisqually NWR. (That same pond in winter
has often been good for a Ring-necked Duck or two.)
