I should have known this would happen, but all the missing birds I
mentioned in my letter yesterday were at the locks this morning,
including a female Belted Kingfisher. First seen and heard flying west
just above the water way over the 7mph posted speed limit. There were
also a few Western, one Horned and two Red-necked Grebes, about 6 DC
Cormorants. In the gull dept. there still aren't very many but there were
three Mew Gulls, a Ring-billed, and one dark mantled, black primaried
pink-footed Gull I couldn't ID further.
