I am 99.99% sure they were a pair of redheads. They were next to the
huge flock of canvasbacks, mixed with the scaup and pintail which were
there at the time. Because I could get the scope on them, and the
Canvasbacks, I was able to compare them for several minutes. I have
found that the numbers and variety of the birds there go way down the
later in winter it is. Probably a combintation of weather and mostly
duck hunters.
