Is there a number that we could contact the state regarding the
changes,and perhaps able to get the state to reconsider the changes?

This may lead to some flames, but decreasing the fees to per vehicle, is
NOT A POSITIVE FORCE. While some birders may be happy about getting off
with paying less, the object of implementing the conservation was so that
non hunting forces can pay their fair share and we can have some say as to
management pratices on state lands. By paying less we have less say, maybe
this is what the state wants. Though I don't have money to burn if I like
to use lands and have a say in them, I would in fact be in favor of
raising the individual use fee, not lowering it or decreasing it to a
vehicle. We as birders must pay our fair share and demand that our money
be put to proper uses, such as management and habitat improvement not just
maintance costs. Let us remember that while some may complain about 10
dollars or more, how much do we spend say chasing a rare bird in gas,
ferries ect..? Lets put it in perpective and realise its time to put our
money where our mouth is. Please lets not go backward after some progress
had been made!
