For the most recent bird news call the Washington Ornithological
Society's BirdBox at 425 454-2662.

A CRESTED CARACARA has been reported and confimed at Neah Bay on the
21st. Although it's origin may remain a mystery, it could still make
for an interesting day trip. The bird has been seen near the Makah Cafe
and toward the hills to the south.

A ROSS' GULL was reported from Sportsman's Park near Aberdeen in
southern Idaho on the 21st. The park is off Highway 39, at the end of
East Boat Dock Road. The Idaho Hotline number is 208 236 3337.

A NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD has been near the corner of 4th and Plymouth in
west Olympia through the 19th. Also in Olympia, a WESTERN BLUEBIRD was
reported from the Governor's Mansion on the 16th.

A GLAUCOUS GULL was present near 14000 Interurban Avenue South in
Tukwila on the 18th.

The SLATY-BACKED GULL at the Gog-le-hi-te wetlands in Tacoma was seen
again on the 17th as was the LITTLE GULL at American Lake.

An AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER was seen in the Snohomish Estuary, just west
of I-5 on the 17th. This bird has no precedence in Washington and needs
verification. Actually, the bird needs no verification, the Records
Committee would like it verified.

And finally, a Ross' Goose has been present near Virginia Loop Road near
Keyport through the 19th.
