We had one female belted kingfisher hunting along the west side ditch on
Maupin Road (Fir Island). She would perch on a stake, then fly along the
ditch landing on the next stake, and so on down the road. No other
kingfishers seen in ca. six hours on the Skagit/Samish flats today.
