Several years ago I found a female Ringed Teal at Green Lake one morning. I
checked with Chas Pillings (his place is less than a mile north of the spot
where I saw the bird) and he confirmed he had a female who liked to come and
go with some of the wild Mallards that visit his pond for a free meal.

I made a judgment call and did not put Ringed Teal on my Green Lake bird
species list ;)
