Hi--don't know how but I've lost the posting about this bird in the vicinity
of Tucson. We used to find the caracara south of Tucson (in the '70's) at an
old beef slaughtering and holding area. After that closed, we had to go to
the Pima Indian Reservation west of Tucson in the Sells area in order to find
the bird. They were often right along the road east of town near a pond on
the north side of the main road or at the town dump. The sightings of the
caracara in the Marana area north of Tucson have only been in the last few
years and are "uncommon."

N.B. to Bob: For the searcher: anything to add? Are they now being seen
regularly near Pinal Air Park? We didn't see any last year.
