Janet Carroll forwarded an idea about "Birder's Cards" that would
identify the reason why you were visiting an area, to increase the
awareness of the financial rewards to preserving species and habitats.
This is a lot easier than carrying your binoculars into shops and
restaurants as was suggested a few years ago. The Oregon Field
Ornithologists Society already prints and sells cards of this type for
use by their members.
