found at Continental south of Tucson at a cattle feeding operation where they
pushed dead stock into an open pit and the scavengers loved it. They have not
done that for many years and people have to travel SW of Tucson to the Sells
town dump on the Tohono Oddam (sp ?) [Papago] Reservation to see them. They
nest sparingly in the very arid SW corner of AZ. They do wander some, we had
one individual in North Phoenix in December of '91 and probably into '92.
However, I think records north of Tucson are uncommon.
