Sightings for Saturday, January 31

The XANTUS' HUMMINGBIRD is still at 221 2nd street in Gibsons. The
YELLOW-BILLED LOON was at Crescent Beach again. The PRAIRIE FALCON was
seen at its usual location at the foot of 34th St in Delta. Also at
Brunswick Point were two MERLINS and a NORTHERN SHRIKE. The four AMERICAN
AVOCETS and a SHORT-EARED OWL were at the mouth of the Serpentine River.

A PEREGRINE FALCON and an AMERICAN PIPIT were at Serpentine Fen in Surrey.
At Jericho Park in Vancouver were a GREAT HORNED OWL and a HERMIT THRUSH in
the woodlot at the top of the hill. A CRESTED MYNAH was in the Canadian
Tire parking lot at 7th and Yukon in Vancouver.

Sightings for Friday, January 30

The YELLOW-BILLED LOON and 160 OLDSQUAW were at Crescent Beach. The 4
AMERICAN AVOCETS were at the mouth of the Serpentine River. An AMERICAN
DIPPER was at stream beyond the end of Blake Drive in Delta. To reach this
location take 72nd from Highway 91 then the first left, which is Blake
Drive.

A male REDHEAD in on the outer pond at Iona. The CRESTED CARACARA is still
at Neah Bay on the Olympic peninsula in Washington. Call the Seattle Bird
Box at 425-454-2662 for details.

Sightings for Thursday, January 29

At Reifel were a SWAMP SPARROW by the tower, 3 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS,
an AMERICAN BITTERN, a LINCOLN'S SPARROW, A BARN OWL and a NORTHERN
SAW-WHET OWL. Up to 13 EURASIAN WIGEONS were between the Roberts bank and
Tsawwassen jetties.
