Tweets,
Took a run down to Montlake fill this evening about 6:30 and I had 4 Least
Sandpipers and 1 Lesser Yellowlegs. I also wanted to pass on an
observation that I had on Lopez Island yesterday. Apparently Turkey
Vultures had recently fledged as each field where haying was taking place
had 3-5 TV's and many sitting right in the road, over 70% had juvenile
plumage and were hanging out with adults in these areas. All totaled I
counted probably 25-30 TV's on the Island. The european rabbit population
seems to be doing quite well as I counted over 400 rabbits with over 150
in Spencer Spit ST. Park alone!
