I hate to interupt anything so profound as censusing and semantics for a
report on vultures, however, it's time for the June turkey vulture report
for those interested. Many thanks to those who sent me reports and to
others who post their interesting trip reports to Tweeters.

June, 1998

01 - 2 at Lantzville, B.C.
02 - 4 at the Kent Ponds
04 - 8 at Littlerock, 12 at Steigerwald Lake Refuge, 2 near Cle Elum
06 - 20 at Easton, 3 at Indian John rest stop, 4 west of Reecer Canyon Road
10 - 3 at Littlerock
19 - 2 west of Nanaimo, B.C.
21 - 1 near Normandy Park
27 - 1 near Stanwood sewer ponds
28 - 2 at Quadra Island, B.C., 1 at Lantzville, B.C., 1 near Cook Creek
connector, B.C., 1 at Littlerock
30 - 2 at Littlerock, 25-30 at Lopez Island (~70% juveniles, most in fields
where haying was going on)

Sightings during the summer are also appreciated from anywhere in the
northwest.
