On June 16, Pat Woodley observed a rather late male TOWNSEND'S WARBLER
along Davison Avenue in Richland.

On June 20, Mary Lilga reported that she and Mike had seen a pair of
BURROWING OWLS using a culvert near the junction of County Well Road and
Hwy 221 in the Horse Heaven Hills. Mary also noted that Pat Morgan had a
pair of BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS in her Willowbrook yard on or about June 17.

On June 23, Pat Woodley found a RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH along Harris Avenue
in Richland and that same day, Ruth Fischer, Nancy LaFramboise, and I (Bob
Woodley) saw all 3 Teal Species, a female RED-BREASTED MERGANSER, a LEAST
SANDPIPER and 2 BONAPARTE'S GULLS among other birds at the Paterson Slough
Unit of the Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge. On the Yakima Delta among
other birds we noted 2 GREATER YELLOWLEGS.

Mary Lilga reported a female DOWNY WOODPECKER in her Richland yard on June 24.

On June 26 and 27 I found a male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD at my feeder.

Also on June 27, Craig Corder, Judy Stevens, Phil Bartley, and Nancy
LaFramboise discovered a CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER and a late GOLDEN-CROWNED
KINGLET along Sharp Road near an old homestead. Sharp road dead ends off
Case Road on the south slope of Rattlesnake Mountain. See DeLorme Atlas
page 48, section B-3.

Lastly, Patty Pollari observed a female EVENING GROSBEAK in her West
Richland yard this afternoon, June 29.
