I haven't seen anything about this on tweeters yet, so here goes.

Dave Beaudette phoned in a report to the Washington BirdBox on Monday at
12:43 a.m., describing a "fairly large breeding colony" of TRI-COLORED
BLACKBIRDS in Grant County. Dave found these birds in the early afternoon
of Sunday, July 5th, in the Crab Creek wetland along SR 28, south of the
town of Soap Lake. Full instructions on how to locate and view them are
given in his BirdBox report (425/454-2662), including a caution about
rattlesnakes.

I believe this is a first for this species in Washington.
