I went to Bahia de Los Angeles about 9 years ago with the Monterey Bay
Aquarium. They took a bunch of us science teachers down to do some field
work. It was an incredible time. I loved it. There is a small museum in
the area that has an articulated Gray Whale skeleton. Most impressive. I
don't remember anything that really stands out in terms of birds. The
boobies were nice and we did get to see one feeding frenzy with boobies
and pelicans. On one afternoon as we were returning in our small boats a
group of dolphins (I have forgotten the species) came up and started
swimming with us and jumping around. It was great. I did find an American
Oystercatcher which was a lifer for me.

I still have a nice collection of books on Baja if you would like to
borrow them. I'm up here in Bellingham during the week so I don't have
access to the titles. Recommend Steinbeck's Log of the Sea of Cortez.

Have a great time!
