Here is a comparison of traditional versus Humphrey-Parkes from Pettingill,
Ornithology in Laboratory and Field. In each system, you are looking at
plumage in the left most column and molt to the right. Either system would
extend according to the species until full adult (definitive) plumage was
attained.

H&P always name the molt from the incoming plumage. Also H&P suggest the
term, definitive, for any plumage that will not change further with age.
Thus, the plumage of a Bald Eagle is definitive whe, after 4 or more years,
the head and tail feathers are completely white.
