In Port Townsend for the past several days, I hear the distinctive call
of the Northern Bob White on the hill above the Kai-Tai lagoon. I find
a colony documented in the WA Breeding Bird Atlas south of Puget Sound.
Is it unusual for a pair to appear this far north? Is that an
introduced population down there?

I've recently move to PT from SE Arizona (Tucson and Portal), and have
not seen or heard a Bob White call since I left Virginia in 1960!
