While walking into my office in downtown Seattle (at Olive and Minor) this
morning (0500) I heard the distinctive "kawk" of the Caspian Tern. I looked
up to see a small flock of 8-10 circling above, wings fluttering in their
shallow "tern" stroke.

Maybe I'll see them again later, when the light is better and can enjoy
their bright red-orange bills.
