The East Lake Washington Audubon Society (ELWAS) has a trip with Viking
Cruises of LaConner scheduled for Sun., July 19. There are still a number of
openings left. This is an all day cruise from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ken
McDonald, the skipper, is also interested in the birds, so welcomes a trip
with primarily birders.

The cruise departs directly from LaConner for a full day discovering nature
with special emphasis on Orca (Killer) whales in the San Juan Islands. There
will be an emphasis on birds as well. As a group we get a special rate of
$59 + $4.60 tax = $63.60 total. Bring your own lunch. Tea and coffee will be
available. To sign up call Viking Cruises at 1-360-466-2639 to make a
reservation. They will collect $63.60, in advance, either by credit card or a
check sent to Viking Cruises, PO Box 327, LaConner, WA 98527. Plan to arrive
at Viking Cruises office by 9:30am to check in. Viking Cruises is one block
north of Nasty Jack's Antique Store on First Street. If you call, indicate
you want to go on the ELWAS cruise on July 19th to get the special rate.
