Sandy and I went down to the Crabcreek wetland area and saw what we
believe were the Tri-colored BLs. I got two pictures, but the bird was
pretty small in the view finder. Maybe they will be good enough for ID
purposes.

We saw some when we were in Portland, OR in May of this year. These
looked the same. ie--the red is brighter and the white is very white,
not pale yellow. I think we saw some females also--dark brown sides, not
streaked like the RWBL

On our trip down and back (had to hurry) we saw 26 species. Highlights
were--

Swainson's Hawk
A one eyed Short-eared Owl which decided to chase off a Red-tailed Hawk
that was perched on a power pole next to it.
Three Barn Owl chicks.
Rock Wren
Black-crowned Night Herons
