Receiving Tweeters in digest mode I'm not sure if anyone
else replied to your post today - here's my two cents though.
I looked in the Washington BBA and found that Chipping Sparrows
breed in the Blue Mountains, approximately 50 or 60 miles East
of the Umatilla area - perhaps just an overnight flight for a
passerine?
