Ha, I bet you're right, Bob. I always wondered how young
swallows would figure out that they have to eat in mid-air
from now on.

Our swallow box suddenly became empty yesterday. The
day before had been cool and drizzly, but young ones were
hanging way out of the hole and looking fit and fat. Then
yesterday morning there was a period of sunshine, but by
the time my husband and I got our brains started, there
was only an eerie quiet in the garden. Gee, they didn't even
say goodbye..
