The consruction compamy is working for the city of Bellevue, they are
rehabing the old marina.If they had let the Osprey continue to use their
crane for a nesting area, the city would have had to pay for a second
crane to finish the project. The construction company was the one
that extended the length of the piling and then drove it and installed
the nest box.It is some of the residents in the area that are pressuring
Bellevue to relocate the "eyesore ( their opinion) nest" in question.As
far as "progress" this project is far from that. The long term benefit
from these Osprey is that a piling with a nest box will end up in the
bay for everyone(almost) to enjoy thanks to the construction company
and some of the City of Bellevue employs.If any law was broken, charge
the Osprey with trespassing !!!!!
