This reminds me that on one of those warm nights last week when we had
the door open to our balcony on Sunset Pond (Bellingham), just as I was
falling off to sleep I heard the sounds of Common Nighthawks. It was a
bit of a challenge because of the noice of the bullfrogs (?) that are
quite noisy thoughout the night. But just as I was falling asleep I
remember hearing the sharp call of nighthawks. Then I began this internal
debate about getting up and going out on the deck to find them. I
convinced myself that I probably wouldn't be able to see them and I
drifted off to sleep.

Or was it just a strange dream?
