Me too. I saw my first scissor-tail at a cool campground (Harry McAdams State Park)
next to the golf course in Hobbs, NM. I jumped up and down! It was the neatest
thing I had ever seen. They were out the next morning, too, flycatching. So
beautiful.

A few days later, I drove to my sister's in San Antonio, and we made a trip to the
airport to pick up a friend of hers. There were scissor-tails all over in the trees
near the terminal, common as robins. Still, that didn't diminish how spectacular
they are, and the thrill of that first sighting.
