Hi,

Boreal denominates northerly species or <things>, like Boreal forests,
Boreal Chickadee, Boreal..ran out of examples. Aurora Borealis. Generally,
if you see 'Boreal' birds, you can also look for some plants normally
found much further north - the Thunder Mtn. area is such an example, with
a shrubby Birch - sorry, don't know the English name) and other plants
from the far North. Another place would be Manning Park in B.C.

I'm always amazed how climate/altitude can lead to a certain plant
society, and that in turn to the occurrence of some special birds!
