Wednesday, July 22, 1:59 p.m. Tom Aversa, 206-782-7342.
Couple of unusual birds at Montlake Fill this morning, early:
SOLITARY SANDPIPER and LAZULI BUNTING. Good luck,
good birding.

Tuesday, July 21, 6:06 p.m. This is Russell Wallin at
206-784-7117. On Sunday, the 19th, with a friend, we went to
White Pass. In the Leach Lake campground area, we saw
RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER, SPOTTED SANDPIPER, VAUX'S
SWIFTS, NASHVILLE WARBLER, HERMIT WARBLER,
other warblers, some flycatchers, including the OLIVE-SIDED
FLYCATCHER. And a few miles the other side of the pass, east
of the pass, on the road towards Clear Lake day-use area,
which is a turnoff to the right, a little ways down that road, we
hiked up the hill and found a nesting pair of FERRUGINOUS
HAWKS with young in the nest. If anybody's interested in
directions on how to find any of these birds, you can contact
me. The best time would be tomorrow afternoon, Thursday
during the day, or Friday morning.
