An estimated 2000 ring-billed gulls flew over the ponds yesterday. They
had been feeding in an adjacent field where pea harvest was ongoing.

Ten Caspian Terns were overhead on Saturday, and 200 Western Sandpipers
were resting at the west end of the large pond, also on Saturday. Among
them was a single Least Sandpiper.

Yesterday I got a close look at one of the spotted sandpipers and it still
had some down in its throat area. I take this as evidence of breeding
there.
