I received a message from a woman with a nest of baby birds in the
grape vines outside her door. She found several small slugs below the
nest and wondered if the nestlings were being fed slugs or, what was
going on with the slugs????

I don't have any idea (to be totally frank about it). I probably
should call her and try to ascertain what species the birds are.
I have had quite a few calls recently that leave me feeling completely
worthless because I can't figure out what people are seeing (mostly
it's turtles, frogs, and snakes people describe to me but I could be
equally clueless on birds).
