Columbia Estuary Report - 7/29/98

The fall migration is gearing up juvenile WESTERN and LEAST
SANDPIPERS were at the SJCR on 7/28 among the adults at high tide
as was a single juv SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER.

A single LESSER YELLOWLEGS was at the wetlands near the mouth
of the Skippanon River in Warrenton on 7/24.

A POMARINE JAEGER, WANDERING TATTLERS, BLACK TURNSTONES and
at least one RUDDY TURNSTONE were at the SJCR this morning.

Semipalmated Plover 10
Greater Yellowlegs 2 (1 juv)
Western Sandpiper 46 (1 juv)
Semipalmated Sandpiper 1 (juv)
Least Sandpiper 17 (3 juv)
