Well, I'm the guy who made the original remark, and just for the
record,
Al Gore is my man. I was for him back when he first ran for
president
and I'll vote for him in 2000. Given that Al makes jokes about
himself
being so wooden, it never crossed my mind that one of his supporters
shouldn't. In the end, if it's funny, it's funny. Not everything
has
to be political. I got several private e-mails saying, in effect,
that
it was *very* funny, and I'd like to think that Al would think it was
funny too. Having a sense of humor is all that keeps us sane,
sometimes.
