Dale and Tweeters,

This is an osprey nest. There used to be three in the Montesano/Elma
area and I believe at least two are still active. The adults are usually
visible in the nest but this time of year it is rare to see the
young unless they are being fed or, in a couple of weeks when
they get ready to fledge. This particular nest is quite deep, making it
all the more difficult to see any young, unless they emerge to be fed.
