Tweeters (And Critters!)

I was out at the platform at Marymoor to watch the pied billed grebes.
I'm afraid the nest is gone. It looks like it got flooded out. The
grebes were still around though. I spied a mama mallard and her clutch
of eight ducklings.

What else did I see in my very brief walk? I think I spied either a
WESTERN GOLDFINCH or a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER. I only got a brief glance of
this yellow and black headed bird, and I think it had a white stripe on
the top of its head.

I also saw a sparrow or finch like bird with very distinctive black and
white stripes on its head.

A big frog splashed down from a lilly pad and swam off in the clear,
still water. Redwing Blackbirds again were dancing on the lilly pads.

Oh, and on my way into Redmond on the far east end of the 520, a hawk or
young bald eagle was standing sentry duty on the freeway sign directing
humans to feeding places. This big bird had the right idea......he was
waiting for a "drive by breakfast"......road kill, I assume.
