We've went from Tweeters to Growler to Stinkers.

they are so common there, but I drive through that area quite often,

on the road. For there to be that many road kills, they must be truly
abundant; it would be interesting to know why."

For about 15 years my parents had property in Teanaway Acres just east
of the spot Dennis is talking about. EVERY time we visited (probably 10+
times a year or more) there was at least one skunk road kill there. I
think the area has a permanent odor now. I believe the reason they are
crossing the road is that there is a mink farm on the north side of the
road. (it could be a different type of farm, my dad told me once and now
I can't quite recall) But, the skunks must travel from the pines and the
river on the north side of the road to the farm on the south. If anyone
knows of another explanation that would be great. BTW in all those years
I never saw a live skunk.
