Flew out to Virginia to visit friends and family for a few days. It was
nice seeing and hearing the blue jays and cardinals once again. I do miss
them out here...

On the way out, while taxiing at DFW airport, I saw a scissortailed
flycatcher flying over the grass there. Also, got an *excellent* view (and
a picture!) of a chipping sparrow bathing in a tiny stream at Meadowlark Park
in Vienna, VA (if anyone gets a chance to go to Northern, VA, this is an
*excellent* birding spot in the spring and summer, bluebirds, swallows, orioles,
lots of sparrows and hordes of other birds, some of which I could probably add
to my lifelist, but I was unable to positively identify many...)
