Having just found the first Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris) in the Pacific
Northwest and looking forward to seeing it again in your area near Grand
Coulee, WA, I have to object strongly to your requirement for a cell phone:
(1) my cell phone isn't callibrated to connect with your instrument; and (2)
damned if I'm going to give away the location of MY rare bird sighting. And,
of course, you can ignore the first part of this message . . . just wanted you
to know that I look forward to your postings. Incidentally, mentioned the
Fieldfare because of an article in the June "Birding"--a good issue, by the
way. Planning to come over your way in the fall--don't know the exact dates
but hope you'll be available to help us see all of the "rarities" reported by
our intrepid birders. Warm regards, Murray
