Hello Tweets:

I came home today to find two goldfinches with their feet "stuck" in the
screen on one of my windows. They were next to each other, maybe four inches
apart. They looked to be struggling to get out of the screen.

My cat was wandering around the house. He's a city cat with no claws and no
class when it comes to birds. They torment him constantly and he can do
nothing but yammer. It's embarrassing.

I thought, "Oh, before I help those poor birdies, I think I'll let them
torture Alex a little."

Before I could find the cat, I heard a very large THUD! on the window. It was
Alex, my dorky cat. He'd jumped at the window so hard that I'm surprised he
didn't knock himself out. I couldn't stop laughing.

The birds were long gone before Alex was within three feet of the window. I'm
fairly certain these birds were pretending to be stuck in the screen in an
effort to terrorize my poor, useless (as a hunter) cat. It worked, and it was
darn funny!

Wishing everyone as enjoyable a day of birding as I've had!
