Hi Tweets,
I've been doing the Bird List for the annual Memorial Day Weekend
Audubon Wenas Camp Out for about ten years and attending the Camp Out for
over twenty years. I don't believe we have recorded a MOUNTAIN QUAIL
there during this period, but they are on the Check List as having been
found during the 35 year history of the Camp Out. In the 1986 Seattle
Audubon book "Natural History Of The Wenas, Washington Area" by Earl J.
Larrison , it is listed as "Rare visitor and possible resident".
There is also an established population of NORTHERN BOBWHITE that
is found in the bottom lands along Wenas Creek.
