Hi Tweets

A Seattle Audubon trip to Spencer Island today saw the Eastern Kingbird
about noon. It was located on the northeast corner of the island, at the
location where a large return drain pipe dumps water back into the
slough. Directly opposite is a long, straight canal running to the west.
The bird was most commonly perching on a bare single snag on the edge of
this canal, but also perched on surrounding high spots within about a
100 yard radius.

We had 45 species during the trip on the island, with particularly good
views of hunting Ospreys - great close looks almost overhead. Lots of
Yellow Warblers and Common Yellowthroats, Marsh Wrens all over the
place, a an almost constant chorus of Swainson's Thrushes.

Good Birding,
