The White-faced Ibis was still up in Monroe today (Monday) at around 3:30
p.m. It is at the pond at the Monroe Corrections Farm, (about 3 miles south
of Monroe on Route 203) so access is tricky.

What worked for me was to park at the intersection of Route 203 and (I think
it was) 203rd St. This is the main entrance to the Farm, and there is a
billboard sign pointing right. I then walked along that street about 100
yards.

You have to tread carefully here. The street is public, but restricted.
Off the street is definitely off-limits. There is no shoulder to walk on,
so keep alert. A corrections officer came and talked to me while I was
there. While the street is public, you are not supposed to linger. You
should talk to no one there except a corrections officer. Stay right on the
edge of the street, and stay no more than about 5 minutes. Don't come with
a large group.

Along with the Ibis, which I was able to see at quite close quarters, there
were also 25-30 BLUE-WINGED TEAL including perhaps 5 females, and a mother
HOODED MERGANSER with about 6 young.
