Hello Tweets,

Today I observed the WHITE-FACED IBIS at the previous location, south of
Monroe at 6:30 am, then birded E.Snohomish Co. starting near Skykomish,
where I observed a pair of DUSKY FLYCATCHERS 5.7 miles from the FR 65&6520
intersection along FR 6520, then walk east on an old trail to the first
outcroping of rocks and stand of dead trees, while LISTENING for their
song. This is the same location, where they probably bred for the last few
years. A single female CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD was also present. Further on FR
6520, at the end of the road, along Johnson Ridge, I walked east on an old
road for 1.3 miles, where I observed a pair of NORTHERN GOSHAWKS, 1 S.S.
HAWK, 1 RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER, as well as several Gray Jays, T.Solitaires,
O.S.Flycatchers, and Fox Sparrows. Travelling back on FR 6520 a single
NASHVILLE WARBLER was located 1.2 miles south of the D.Flycatcher
location. At Jack's Pass 10 BLACK SWIFTS were observed flying towards Bear
Mountain, and north of Jack's Pass on FR 65 heading towards Index, a
N.THREE-TOED WOODPECKER was noted .05 miles N of the pass. On my way home I
birded the Kent Ponds, where an OSPREY, 1 B.BULL, 1 L.SCAUP, 3
SP.SANDPIPERS, and 12 B.W.TEALS, and 3 H.MERGANSERS for noteworthy
highlights.

Good Birding!
