Hi Tweets

The White-faced Ibis was back at the pond at the Monroe Correctional
Dairy Farm this afternoon from 5:38 p.m. until 6:10 p.m. when I left.
The bird showed nice color with the purplish-green gloss and the whitish
face patch evident.

An alternate viewing spot is to park in the wide spot on the east side
of SR 203 just south of the curve where you can first see the pond
coming south from Monroe. You can then walk back north, carefully
avoiding traffic and stand on the outside of the substantial railing.
There are good scope views from this location and you don't have to
worry about violating facility regulations.

While we were watching and waiting for the ibis to come in we saw the
same ducks that Michael Hobbs did, had an Osprey hunting on the pond
(successful), and had a male Yellow-headed Blackbird present.

Good Birding,
