This morning while doing a monthly survey of birds at Idlywood Park on Lake
Sammamish, we saw a GBHE flying south down the middle of the lake. It then
swooped down over the the water and picked up a fish (I assume a dead one) and
then flew to shore to eat it. This is the first time I have seen a GBHE do
this. Is it very common?
