Hi Tweets,

I will be going to Winthrop over the fourth of July. I have never had
much of a chance to do any birding outside of the Puget Sound area, and
look forward to the oppurtunity to see some new things. My family will
only be in the area for a day and a half, but the itinerary has not been
completely set. I have a few questions for any tweeters who might be
able to help me.

1. What sort of habitat is in the area?
2. Along the North Cascades Highway, are there any good places to stop
for "specialty" birds, or which seem to be productive for birdwatching in
general?
3. I have a "wish list" for this trip, of birds which seem to be likely,
birds which might be seen, and birds which are unlikely to be seen. If
any tweeter somewhat experienced in the Winthrop area would be kind
enough to evaluate my rather short list(s), and tell me if I am expecting
something I shouldn't be, or if there is something I should keep my eyes
open for which is not on my list, could contact me, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for any help.
