Quite a day at Marymoor today. Four birders along, and many notable
species:

EASTERN KINGBIRD 1 eating berries in a bush. Our first EAKI at Marymoor.
Location: 100 yards upstream from the weir,
in the trees behind the little angled bench
with the dedication plaque, just passed the ditch.
Black Swift Over 100
Blue-winged Teal At least one pair

Also, probable Bonapartes Gull, probable California Gull. Pied-billed Grebe
sitting on the nest at the lake platform. Bald eagle feathered young on the
nest near the model airplane field.

We also witnessed something we have not noted before. Great Blue Herons
were landing on the lake, sitting there looking like grey swans, picking up
fish which appeared to be floating on the water, then either taking off or
swimming towards shore with the fish in their beaks. There seemed to be a
steady traffic in GBH's heading back and forth between the lake and points
downstream.

Over 40 species total. The EAKI brings our Marymoor list to 138 species.
